You can’t get married in the Big Apple without having the infamous New York City skyline in the background! We were so excited when Brandi and Andrew asked us to coordinate their late summer wedding at The Liberty House in Jersey City. This beautiful venue has an abundant space for you to have your ceremony outdoors and your reception inside all while enjoying the view of New York’s financial district. Between the delicate colors and details and the gorgeous weather, Brandi and Andrew got married on the perfect fall day!
The Liberty House in Jersey City is just a hop, skip and a jump from New York City right across the Hudson River. This scenic wedding venue has become one of our favorite locations to plan & coordinate weddings for our couples! The Liberty House is located inside historic Liberty State Park. It was the first property that opened under Landmark Hospitality, who also operates a variety of other venues in the NJ area. Liberty House offers two distinctly unique event spaces that come with private entrances,, ceremony spaces, and outdoor patio spaces, just to name a few.
The Grand Ballroom features floor to ceiling windows and a wrap-around terrace with seating for 325 guests. The Patio allows up to 128 seats with large shrubs enclosing the space so it feels more private. When the weather is really nice, wedding couples enjoy having their ceremony outdoors. No matter whether you get married in the Grand Ballroom or on the Patio, the Manhattan skyline will be in full view!
Brandi and Andrew had such a sweet proposal story! Andrew proposed in December 2021 while her parents were visiting them at their new home in Tampa for the first time. He had been waiting to propose until COVID restrictions were lifted since Brandi’s parents wanted to travel from Canada to Tampa. Andrew also wanted to honor a previous agreement he had with Brandi’s dad who really wanted to be there to celebrate with them in person.
Andrew popped the question while they were on a walk near their house on the Tampa River Walk. This location is one of their favorite spots! Afterwards, Brandi and Andrew met their family and friends at a rooftop bar to celebrate! The couple likes to spend time with each other, even though they have different ideas of a typical date night. Brandi enjoys trying out a new trendy restaurant while Andrew likes to stay at home for a cozy night in.
This couple had some sweet touches throughout their day! Brandi and Andrew decided not to go with a first look. Instead, they wanted to wait until Brandi was walking down the aisle. They asked a close friend of theirs to officiate the wedding. Andrew has Scottish heritage in his family, so towards the end of the reception, he changed into his family’s kilt.
One of our favorite things about being wedding planners is the chance to work with amazing vendors! We LOVE the photographer that Brandi and Andrew hired for their wedding day! She actually photographed Amanda’s wedding and shot an engagement session for one of our other lead planners, Donna.
Congratulations to Andrew and Brandi on your beautiful wedding day at The Liberty House! We absolutely loved being your wedding planners! If you love this venue just as much we do and are getting married here next year, then please reach out to us so we can start planning together!
