The bright sunshine and laughter made Heidi and Chris’ summer wedding at Bear Brook Valley a beautiful day! This gorgeous wedding venue provided so many pretty spots for photos. Chris and Heidi included some small but fun details to make their celebration unique. Our team enjoyed planning a wedding with such a fun couple!
Bear Brook Valley wedding venue in Fredon, New Jersey has become one the most popular locations to get married in the state. It was originally built as a golf club, but the current owners made a major transformation, turning it into a premier location for weddings. This venue includes separate areas for the bride and groom to get ready, walking paths around the property, and a small vineyard perfect for couples’ photos. There are even three bridges with lush trees and greenery providing more spots for photos throughout the day. The venue also includes their faint yellow Moke vehicle that you can ride around in as part of their wedding packages. The possibilities are endless when it comes to all of the spots on the property for taking pictures. It’s no wonder that this venue is booked solid all the time! This sweet couple actually met the day that Chris moved into his new apartment in New York City. Heidi and her friends had just returned from brunch and were hanging out in the apartment next door. They invited Chris over to day-drink with them, and as you say, the rest is history! The morning of the wedding, the bride and bridesmaids got ready in the Silo Suite. If you’re looking to be spoiled on your wedding day with your closest friends, this suite has it all! The room is 1,000 square feet and includes a complete breakfast with an attendant and plenty of tea, coffee and mimosas on hand. There’s a full length mirror, lounge area, wet bar, balcony, salon chairs and a beauty bar.
Chris got ready in the Woodford Lounge, which as you guessed, has a bourbon type environment with dark rich colors, barrels, and leather. To keep the guys entertained beforehand, there is a 4-hole golf game, two large televisions, plenty of video games, a pool table, and shuffleboard. Chris brought a bottle of Woodford Reserve for himself and the guys to enjoy. There is definitely no lack of fun things to do while you’re getting ready to marry the love of your life!
For their outdoor ceremony, Heidi and Chris asked on the groom’s friends to play guitar. They also made their wedding programs as fans to help keep their guests cool outside. When it came time for the reception, Chris and Heidi included two signature drinks at the bar. The song “Speechless” by Dan and Shay accompanied them as they had their first dance. Heidi and Chris had the typical parent dances, but Heidi included a special mother/daughter dance as well! They used the song “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood for their sweet moment.
