Esther and Ben had a beautiful fall wedding at Grand Oaks Country Club in Staten Island, NY. We were excited to work with them and plan their celebration as they were all the way across the country. They included special details throughout the day such as including their dog and choosing his and hers drinks at the bar for their guests. The weather was absolutely perfect and they loved spending this day with family and friends!

When Esther and Ben contacted us about their wedding, they chose our “petite planning” package. This particular package includes partial planning with things like choosing up to three more vendors, timeline and budget management, and all of the coordination services on the day of the wedding. This couple was living in Alaska at the time due to Ben being a member of active military. Instead of being able to meet with them in person which was part of their package, we scheduled some online meetings. In addition to us not meeting them in person until it got very close to their actual wedding day, Ben and Esther’s parents didn’t meet each other either until then.

Our couple booked the Grand Oaks Country Club in Staten Island for their reception. This wedding venue has beautiful willow trees along the golf course for couples portraits. There are picturesque locations for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, including a romantic garden patio. Ben and Esther chose this location to get ready with their wedding party as well as have their first look. They wanted to make sure to have some special photos with their dog before the ceremony, so Maverick, their golden retriever, was brought to Grand Oaks. He even had a cute tuxedo bandana around his neck! Our planning team loved the gifts that Esther gave to her bridesmaids – a Stanley cup and a Lululemon belt bag filled with fun goodies. The groomsmen also received a Stanley beer stein.

Ben and Esther got married at the church where Esther’s father is the current pastor. After the ceremony, the happy couple headed back to the reception venue for their grand entrance. For their first dance, they choose “You” by Dan and Shay. This was actually one of the most popular wedding dance songs of 2023! Esther actually wore three different dresses throughout the day: a traditional wedding gown, a gown gifted by a family member, and then a party dress. I love that she chose fun and cute outfits in addition to her wedding dress.
